Summer fun at Wellington Library

A group of young people are helping organise summer activities for 11-19 year olds.

The young people involved are part of the Wellington Library Lab who meet fortnightly to help plan events and the teenage area  of  the new library in Wellington.

As part of their work, they  have come up with an exciting summer programme of activities. This includes:

Thursday 11 August – 5.30-7.30
Comic book illustration workshop with the storyteller and artist Fran O’Boyle.  Come and create some exciting images to be displayed at  the new library at Wellington

Wednesday 17 August – 10.30-3.30
Song writing workshop – Put your words to music with the Culture Zone Music Development Team
All of the events are free but places are limited so please book a place.

Writing Competition - In addition to this there is a writing  competition where entrants can win a £50 book token, have their story or poem  read out by storyteller Andy Hawkins and an image inspired by the story will be displayed at the new library in Wellington.

The new Wellington Library is expected to open in the autumn.
